One of the few things I know I HAD to do in LA was visit the Le Brea Tar pits. Only God knows why so many had to die to provide me with such a great afternoon.

Aside from the absolutely tragic display out front of a mammoth family being torn apart is that there is a museum of the tar pits too, The Pace museum. It contains many wonderful things but mostly bones of ancient dead animals and replicas of ancient dead animals and a film that had to be made in 1965 at a studio just steps from where it is now shown eight times a day.
