The Site
First of all I’d like to announce that I’ve updated the site as if you couldn’t tell by looking. Please enjoy the new tighter, cleaner layout that’s hopefully more legible and easier to navigate. I’ve also added a “keep updated” feature. So if you’d like to know when I post something new enter your e-mail address and I’ll send out a notice when there’s something new to look at and obviously I’m not going to spam anyone.
Friends
Below I’ve listed important events happening in friends lives so we can all keep updated on each others lives a little bit.
Congratulations to the following:
People havin’ babies:
Pete & Melanie in LA, due in late December
Neil & Leah in NYC, due New Years Eve
Perhaps I can fuel a little West Coast vs. East Coast action
Movers and Shakers:
Kurt, Marie & Mila – On their move to Toulouse, France. Kurt, welcome to Marie’s world, hope you were paying attention to those French lessons buddy.
Dawn & Jennifer – On their move to a new condo in Lincoln Square, Chicago. Ladies I’m glad you both made it out of the ‘hood in one piece. I’m sure the Latin Kings will miss you. Now hopefully you’ll just have to watch out for the pushy little Polish grandmas at the supermarket. And also on the recent trip to Japan, the pix make it look like lots of fun.
Survivors
Debbie, Tom and all their animals - On surviving hurricane Charlie, Frances, Ivan and upcoming Jeanne. Whatever you people are doing down there to draw the wrath of Mother Nature, you’d better stop it, like, right now.
On the older front but still somewhat current
Babies:
Dawn & Joe: Veronica born St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2004.
She’s getting bigger every day.
More Movers and Shakers:
Tony – To a spacious condo in the Mission, San Frandisco. Loved the housewarming party. FYI, I have pictures of you serving guests alcohol in Mason jars which I’m holding onto for the next time you might think it’s funny to send around pictures of me getting an avocado facial. Oh let's not forget the new Mini Cooper, Tony bought a new Cooper in case he hasn't already told you.
Darris – New condo in upper most northern Ravenswood, Chicago. Thanks for the crash pad in July. We only used your toothbrush once, I swear.
Survivors
Ava – On her tragic house fire in May in North Carolina and on the loss of her dog Holiday in that fire. Ava we’re all thinking of you. If anyone reading this didn’t know you can e-mail me and I’ll pass along Ava’s e-mail address so you can send her well wishes too.
Other News
And congratulations to my guy who’s kicking major ass on the art world front, I’m so proud of him. I’d like to list the names of shows, commissions and grants he’s received this year but really don’t want search engines picking it up in this context. Seeing as he probably doesn’t want curators and jury boards to know that he makes his fiancé check the closet for monsters if he wakes up from a nightmare or watches Aaron Spelling productions with a fervor boarding on obsession. But if you’d like to learn more about it you can e-mail me and I can send you his professional work site address.
