Mysterious Lychee
I stopped into the Albertson's to pick up an item for dinner as saw a huge box of fresh lychee fruit. I grabbed a handful for about $1.50 and gave 'em a try. They didn't taste exactly like the chunks of lychee I find in jelly candies but they were pretty good. They have a spiky red overcoat which you slip off to reveal the white fruit. You give them a squeeze on either side and they pop out of their skins. After you've eaten the fruit your left with this shiny brown pit.

When I went back a few days later there were no signs of ‘em they must be very very seasonal.
