Sutro Baths

Mr. P and I both had a long work week so we just took a walk around the Sutro Baths to get away from the computers Sunday.

In 1881 Adolph Sutro built a huge complex of swimming pools, steam baths, an amphitheater and galleries of sculptures, paintings, tapestries and artifacts from Mexico, China, Asia, and the Middle East. Eventually it was turned into a skating rink but burned down in 1966.

There were some guys line fishing for something.

We didn't see them catch anything.

And of course there were people trying to kill themselves while on vacation by disrespecting the power of mother nature like there always are.
